If you're anything like me, you never know what to tell wife/gf/etc what to get you for Chrimmas. Good news, your boy Dorn has a recommendation for you. I obtained some Tecovas boots a few months ago, and they get the full endorsement. Some of you probably know a lot about boots and might say there's other better brands, and you're maybe right; I don't pretend to be a cowboy boot expert. But I can say the Tecovas are comfortable, fit great, look fantastic, and while certainly not cheap won't set you back as much as Lucchese or probably some other brands.

I have these https://www.tecovas.com/products/the-wade?color=russet-smooth-ostrich and also like these a lot https://www.tecovas.com/products/the-earl?color=bourbon-calfskin .

Anybody asking for something else that's awesome from Santa?

Went pheasant hunting in South Dakota recently and had to buy boots. Bought Under Armor per the salesmans recommendation at Cabelas in Mitchell SD. Most comfortable boots I've ever owned.

Only thing that scares me about used is the cost to replace the battery.
Yeah. There’s that to consider.

But I’m in a decent position money-wise and have no credit card debt. I won’t be traveling as much in the next few years as I have in the past since annual leave doesn’t roll over at my new workplace.

I’ll be putting more away in savings so I’ll just make sure I have enough for a battery in five years…

No way them batteries are cheap and you know they can’t last forever. You just wait and see when California shuts down for lack of juice, because the electric grid wouldn’t ever support all these plug in tools. I mean you can use my corded drill without worrying I don’t have power to charge it.

Dear Santa, I have been reasonably good this year and I would like a Christensen Arms Ridgeline in 6.5 PRC with lightweight Talley rings and a Zeiss V4 Conquest 6x24x50 scope and if it’s not too much trouble please thrown in some 6.5 PRC brass for reloading.

Check out LITE BOOTS for light comfortable waterproof boots. They are out of West Point also. I’m on my second year and put a many miles on mine.
