OT: This is why I choose Brave over Safari with ad-block plus

I happen to have both and prefer Brave but thought I’d hop on Safari since I have Ad-block pro. All around more secure but I respect some people use Safari and use an Ad-Block extension, but they can cause problems for example. Hopped on Safari (been trying out Ad-Block pro) Just to compare to Brave. So I go to google click the top link and Athlon Sports warns me: I’ve had this problem on a decent amount of pages in the past, some won’t work at all but that was a good while back. But thought this one wouldn’t do it. Never had this issue with Brave yet I tried the same link with Brave and perfect with no warning, missing content, or anything. Sorry if Germans also just an informative post if not interested no problem. IMG_7034.png

Brave has worked well for me in the past but I'm using Opera now and I think I like it better. It has a free built in VPN also (not an extension)

Typically, if you hit refresh that disclaimer will go away. I have to do it maybe once every 5 times I open up the message board, but it keeps working and I don't have to see ads lol

Cool I never like Opera on mobile devices as it’s built straight from chrome. It’s not a security browser. Then again I haven’t tried it in a long *** time. It could be great now. I just feel safer with Brave as I don’t use a VPN although I have one other than the one in brave. Actually it depends on where I am and what I’m doing some internet other places is so much slower with it if their crap is slow to begin with. I’ve got a 1 gig down and up and I’m in the county. So I’m good I should use a VPN. Think I’ll start now.

I know before I ask that this is a stupid question... but are Brave and Opera web browsers? If so, for mobile or PC, or both? I've never heard of or seen either one, so I don't know what to do with this info, but I love the idea of a built in VPN.

Yes they are both web browsers like Firefox or Chrome. They both have PC and mobile versions and if you create an account you can sync your passwords, bookmarks, etc between whichever devices you install them on. VPN is included on Opera but I think its an extension on Brave. The locations are limited w/ the free VPN but you can upgrade them and choose where you want to appear to be from while surfing

I’ve had that happen with Brave.

Gotcha, I haven’t yet and tested the same link with Brave and didn’t have a problem. I haven’t had a single one yet but inevitably I’ll likely run into one if it does happen to people. Either way for me it’s more convenient to just use Brave for a while now.

I was getting that that way as my glasses had gotten to weak by far for me, I just had new prescriptions lenses made for my glasses and also disposable contacts. (Which I need to wear more but not used to inserting and removing every day they’re tough for me to grab and remove for some reason) I need to get used to them so I don’t have to wear my glasses.
