Lots of chatter about them using the bye week to transition to the freshman Cutter Boley. Surprising how far Vandagriff's star has fallen. From the one-time heir apparent at UGA to possibly getting benched at UK.

A victim of circumstances - and at least one serious blow to the head.

Looks like Vandagriff is out at UK and will likely hit the portal for his final year of eligibility. Stoops has named freshman Cutter Boley the starter for the final game of the season, signaling him to the be the QB of the future for UK. Haven't watched their games but he has apparently outplayed Vandagriff by a decent margin when he's played.

Wonder if Vandagriff will drop down to the G5 level. Given his level of play this year, I can't imagine him getting much attention from any decent P4 schools. He's gone one year and will certainly want to make the most of it (i.e. guaranteed starter ) so G5 would seem the way to go.

Boley looked a lot better vs Texas then Vandagriff.

Maybe Vandagriff transfers back to UGA like Hunter Johnson pulled off a few years ago, going back to where he came from, :)

He should try transferring to FSU. They'll need a qb

It's just crazy enough to work.

Mike Norvell watching another highly rated QB recruit turned failed P5 QB hit the portal:

Anyone who follows recruiting fairly closely saw the writing on the wall with this one. He is your prototypical "beat the brains out of private schools" QB coming out of HS. For a lot of those kids, whether they have the physical skills or not, there's just not enough intensity and competition to really know how a player will respond from an intangibles aspect when they get to the highest levels of college football.

I call it the PCS5SS or Private Christian School 5 Star Syndrome. Vandagriff lit up the stats against 5' 8" slow white DBs in HS. There was a reason UGA didn't fight hard to keep him and why he left there to start with.

If he transfers, he needs to go to a G5 school where he can be back at a level where his physical talent alone makes him a good player. He should already have his degree so unless he absolutely loves playing football he might want to go ahead and get a jump on the working world. He certainly isn't going to play football at any higher level than he is playing today in the future.
