So... thinking of a getaway to Vegas. Never been. no kids. long weekend. Not a gambler. Would be more interested in super nice rooms, shows, super nice suite. Any advice/thoughts/suggestions? This would be a more 'in the room' trip than an 'out the room' trip... if you catch my drift. sex. we would be having sex.

Cosmopolitan hotel and casino. Get a balcony room — Terrace studio or room with fountain view. Full balcony with couch overlooking Bellagio fountain and lights. Casino is incredibly nice, great sports book and lots of good places to eat inside hotel and around the vicinity.

Would strongly consider Wynn or Encore… I like Aria. Don’t love cosmo but a lot of people do. Bellagio and Venetian/Pallazo are safe with multiple nice restaurant options. I’m going in February and trying out Nomad on top of park mgm w/o smoke. Chek out skybar at Waldorf Astoria

Edit: also lots of nice non-casino hotels on the strip if you’re not gambling and only in it for the wife sex, but I haven’t stayed at those

And even if you don’t gamble, sign up for the rewards card, put your room on it, and all food. Would get Caesar’s and MGM as well. I’m not a big gambler but I play a little blackjack, video poker, and hold em, and I get my rooms paid for now at most places. I do spend on restaurants, shows etc

For what you are talking about, I like the Venetian/Palazzo. Big rooms, nice, and deals can be had. A couple of off the beaten path restaurants.

Lotus of Siam... Best Thai food I have had.
The Bootlegger... Really good Italian with lots of history.

For the nicest hotels, Cosmopolitan, Bellagio, Venetian, and Aria are your best best. The Venetian suites are my favorite. Nice huge rooms. Big marble bathrooms.

Best shows I've seen in Vegas are:
O at Bellagio (this one is really incredible)
Absinthe
Love at The Mirage
Zumanity at New York New York has nudity, which may fit your theme

Ive seen a handful of other shows in Vegas that rotate in/out. Most of these are all pretty good if they're on the strip.

Penn and Teller was just ok. The Rio is a dump, so don't stay out there long, if you go.

For Food:
Catch in Aria for seafood
Giada's in The Cromwell for Italian
Lago in Bellagio for Italian
Tom Callichio's in MGM for steak
Cut in Pallazzo for steak

I see some folks mention Wynn/Encore. I've never stepped foot in either, but I want to because I've heard good things about both. They are on the far north end of the strip, which makes walking the strip a little more difficult.

Wear her *** out, big dawg.

Would also add Picasso and Mayfair as good spots at the Bellagio. We sat next to the fountain on the porch of Picasso which was cool. Mayfair has entertainment. will definitely need to reserve ahead of time but it’s a panty dropper. Bardot Brasserie at Aria was good, are there on my last trip

Since you can do without the big showy casino, the Cromwell is a smaller hotel, but very plush. The rooftop pool/bar/club is awesome at night if you are into that type of thing.

The Wynn and Caesar's (maybe others) have adult-only pool areas. Women go topless. I saw Anna Kournikova in there once a long time ago.

Speaking of that pool, I don't know when you're going, but all summer most of the hotels have copied the Hard Rock and have huge pool parties on Sunday that are adults only. Some of them are for the younger-wilder crowd, but it's kind of fun to sit there in a bungalow and drink and people watch. Encore's is good.

Either of the venetians have nice suites snd they are generally less expensive than the others.

Not sure abt shows but you can walk almost anywhere.

ETA: and since this is abt sex, for a nominal price, you can add an extra to the group!

I know this will sound corny and dumb, but one of the best shows I’ve seen in Vegas is the Zombie Burlesque. It’s very good. Funny, sexy, and not super expensive. Do yourself a favor and get a few tickets to this. You’ll thank me if you do.

You will need two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half-full of cocaine and a whole galaxy of multicolored uppers, downers, screamers laughers....Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls

If you do this take the sage advice of a cab driver I had out there. Go out to the county where it's legal. ll the hookers on the strip have either a badge, aids, or a dick. You don't want any of that.

Nothing much appealing about Vegas. It's a sad place and locals avoid it for a good reason. The idea of it is what people think it is. It's a sad place

Pretty sure the locals don’t really avoid the place they actually 17ing live for very long. It’s not everybody’s cup of tea, but there’s plenty of fun to be had even if you don’t gamble. The restaurants alone are worth investing a weekend if you’ve never been.

High rise room over looking the strip.

Or just stay outside of town outside of Henderson at the big golf course resort by lake Meade if that’s what you are going for

Have 3 friends who’ve lived there and loved it. Even if you don’t gamble, you get to stay at some nice hotels for way cheaper than you would otherwise, and food and shows are great. But I also love poker

Yeah. You show me someone who doesn't have fun or enjoy Vegas, I will show you a stick in the mud. Probably been 25+ times since my first visit in 04'. Been by myself for work conferences several times and always have a blast.

I have gambled, partied, ate, and golfed my *** off. Probably going to head out this summer as I haven't been since 2019. In fact, I could be talked into a summer golf trip to Vegas right now. The Wolf course at Paiute may be the best I have ever played. Last time I went I played a round at Vegas National with some old guys that turned out to be members of Elvis's orchestra and one guy was Sinatra Jr's best friend. Nailed me an autographed book the following week.

If you stay at the Cosmo, go to the hidden pizza joint. It’s really good.

I was in Vegas a month ago for my first time. We had a room at the Bellagio overlooking the fountains. I brought in a small cooler of beer and we rearranged the room and put the couch right in front of the window. I'd sit there every night and have a few beers and watch the fountain, it was incredible.
The food at the hotel was great, we ate at Prime and it was one of the best steak dinners I've ever had. It comes with the benefit of the fountains in the background.
If you're into cigars or at least a nice laid back bar, there's a montecristo cigar lounge at Caesars that I enjoyed so much the first night, I went back every night I was there.
As far as shows, we saw the blue man group from the front row and I can't express how awesome it was, highly recommended.
