Anyone else watch this show? It’s basically two guys taste testing craft beers around the Philly area. And they mentioned that April 7th is National Beer Day, so better get ready. It’s a fun show, usually on fairly late after a 76ers or Flyers game. Makes me thirsty for a Double Stack IPA.

God, so many great breweries around Olney. These people try to make the best product possible, they put their hearts into it.

What are your favorites? We will be down for the Maryland game again this year and it would be nice to explore some other places outside of College Park.

Occassionally tune in... Glen Macnow (WIP sports radio in PHL) is a pretty good guy. His son is one of the founders of Conshohocken Brewing.
So many worthwhile breweries across the PA landscape!

Wife and I watch it. They do trips around PA. They were up in Mifflinburg at Rusty Rail years ago and it was a good show.

Give this place a try if you’re near the shore. Slack Tide Brewing Company near Sea Isle City.
I’ve had Slack Tide when at Cape May. I like Coastal Evacuation, Honey Porter and Capt May from Cape May brewing.

I just tried a lovely Irish Red Ale from True Respite Brewing in Derwood.

I had this one from Sullivan from Kilkenny. Delicious

The thing is, there are a lot of breweries out there and all I’ve ever tasted is first-rate. And, most local breweries produce a goodly number of diverse styles, you’ll always find something to make the visit worthwhile. With this in mind, here’s a brewery 2.6 miles south of UMd, no food but a pizza place around the corner, county parking garage across the street. Wonderful beer, a great team there.

Slack Tide is actually closer to Avalon on route 83 but opening a larger facility right down the street on route 9 - Mudhen in Wildwood is really good and has a big outdoor area and 4 bars in the place - open all year.
