Can't remember what it was called then, but, she visited Caron Treatment Center during her "illnesses". Anyone remember Gene London, another kids show host that was pretty popular? Me. NE Philly & Lower Bucks County.
I believe "Larry" of the Three Stooges was from Philly.Interesting that she was also a somewhat regular “babe” on Three Stooges episodes. She was a frequent guest later on appearing at the convention for the Stooges that took place in Trevose I believe. After some of the Stooges relatives or family died, the convention would then feature people like Sally Star who had appeared on the shows.
Yeah, Larry Fine grew up on South Street. There’s a mural of him there.I believe "Larry" of the Three Stooges was from Philly.
Yup, chit chat above wernersville, on the way to the haunted church. lots of ‘famous’ people were guests there. I grew up in Reading. Can't remember what it was called then, but, she visited Caron Treatment Center during her "illnesses". Cool story. Thanks for sharing.I lived in West Philly as a kid. Sally rented a house at 56th and Florence for a while circa 1955. Every kid in the neighborhood would drive their bikes up the driveway to see if she was sitting on the back porch. Saw her many times. Our gal Sal
Yes, I lived near the Stoogeum in Springhouse and they had a lot of Larry stuff given that he was local. The guy who had the museum had a lot of personal items including Larry’s driver license, pics from him down the shore, etc.I believe "Larry" of the Three Stooges was from Philly.
Gene London was a family friend who used to come over our house. Every time he would do a drawing for me and my sister and give it to us.Can't remember what it was called then, but, she visited Caron Treatment Center during her "illnesses". Anyone remember Gene London, another kids show host that was pretty popular? Edit: It just came to me....Chit Chat Farm.
