Around and get better shots. Ole Miss had much better looks at the basket all night. If we can fix this and keep everything else intact we will be a force.
Yep. I just don't understand how a good coach can continually watch everyone stand around the 3 point line with no movement and think it's okIf you watch the stretch where they got back in the game we pretty much set one high ball screen and everyone stands around after that.
In all the big wins against Pitt, South Carolina, Vandy, Etc we saw a lot of passing and ball movement. The last few games there’s been a lot less passing and more just straight up iso and everyone else stand around. Assists have been down the last three game.If you watch the stretch where they got back in the game we pretty much set one high ball screen and everyone stands around after that.
By contrast OM (like KY and Auburn) really make you work defensively. They created several Brakefield on Hub matchups in the post that they weirdly didn’t take advantage of.
Might mean the team is wearing down a bit. It's been a brutal stretch. In all the big wins against Pitt, South Carolina, Vandy, Etc we saw a lot of passing and ball movement. Not a ton of breaks in sight. This league is brutal. Big chance for a road win this coming Saturday at USCe. Unfortunately, I think Vandy's win will mean we get a very focused UT Tuesday. Then Bama at home. It's a meat grinder.Might mean the team is wearing down a bit. It's been a brutal stretch.
Only “easy” part of the schedule is at the tail end. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a conference schedule like this. Not a ton of breaks in sight. This league is brutal. We could play well and still need all those games to get above .500 in conference. Every road win is going to be precious.Only “easy” part of the schedule is at the tail end. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a conference schedule like this.
We look so much better when Kugel plays. I'd love to see an extended run of Kugel, Harris, Melendez, Murphy & Cam. That could be a really good defensive line up that generates turnovers and attacks the basket. We look lost offensively the last couple of games. Need to tell Hubbard he’s the point guard & if he takes a shot he’s going to the bench. Cam does ok in that job, but it takes him away from what he’s best at.
It’s already been established by the bracketology guys that it’s possible a 6-12 losing record in the SEC will still get in. Pretty remarkable. We could play well and still need all those games to get above .500 in conference. Every road win is going to be precious.
