Out of Conference Rivalry Basketball Games

We've heard the university say they have a hard time finding a good spot on the schedule for our basketball game against Clemson. Universities with out of conference rivals should play their basketball and football games on the same day and on the same campus. It can't be that hard to figure out. Make it happen!

South Carolina vs Clemson basketball at Noon and football at 7:00 would be pretty awesome.

Playing the basketball game on the same day as the football game is a terrible idea. It would be lost in the shuffle of tailgating and other football games.

What I've always thought would make sense is put the women and men on the Sunday after the football game. Do a basketball doubleheader. Make it a delayed launch of basketball season in South Carolina, something that gets fans interested and paying attention right as the football regular season is ending. That could turn into something pretty cool.

Put it in the middle of the season, e.g., late January / early February, like how the women play UConn, rather than burying it in December.
