The music and band were fine, the DJ and hype man's audio was fair/minus, but Anthony Craven's audio was terrible, didn't understand a thing he said. Anyone else pick up on that? Does Anthony just not have the pipes? The pregame intros were hard to hear, made me miss Hank Flick.

He mumbles way too much or tries to downplay the visiting team intros and it comes across as mumbling.

So, what will we ***** about tomorrow? I went to the Bethune-Cookman game. I thought the Hump was looking and sounding pretty good. I'll be at the UK game, I'll comment again after that.

Dr Flick is a MSU treasure.

"...and a good good afternoon to you, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the campus of Mississippi State Universiteeeeeeeee. For an afternoon of BASKET-ball, Mississippi State style!"

I couldn't make out all of what he said in his intro for Trey Moore but......I liked it. Something like...."3 up, 3 down, sticks like glue" Treeeeeyyyyy Moore! He had so many good ones. I remember Super D. The Big Train....

It does sound good for music and such. He just mumbles too much and you can’t hear it. If you sit in the upper sections it is hard to hear when someone is talking. I guess maybe because of the way the speakers are aligned.

“…he’s the sheriff of these parts…Russell Walters.” “..inviting everyone, forcing no one.” He was awesome.

Loved Flick! We should interview one of his kids. No experience? No problem, we are just looking for the correct voice. Just talk. That’s the interview

It was my first time back since the renovations. I think it looks great.

Great crowd, but sections 216-222 (north side upper deck behind the goal) were virtually empty, while the upper deck on the south side - and all around - was full, are those sections normally for students?

In my previous visits, they were all nosebleed, I couldn’t understand a thing the guy was saying. The people I was with agreed so I’m not sure if it’s mainly due to location or just the guy. I don’t want to nitpick but that is disappointing.

Speaking of, they need to put the students behind the goals even if it’s just a small collection of them for the fun distraction shenanigans. Take advantage of the home court, Zac! (Cue rocky in 3-2-1…)

My first time since renovations too. I thought they did a pretty good job with the concourse improvements. As others have mentioned sound system was pretty good (when has that ever been the case at MSU?). Concessions were ok, not great not bad. And, as always, really not a bad seat in the house.

That’s the student section. Classes don't start back until about mid-January, so not a lot of students around now. I’m actually surprised there were as many there as there were. I agree the renovation looks great. It looks like a modern arena now. I know a lot of y’all ragged on the renovation, but it really was done well.

I noticed this as well yesterday. Knowing a little about it, it’s the speaker orientation and could be fixed easily.

I always thought Hank said “spits fire of blue, Trey Moore,” but yours makes more sense.

Kind of my feelings on women's basketball on the radio.

Announcers voice gets drowned out by the crowd way too much. Then in live action it just all runs together and I can't understand 2/3 of it. Have to wait for a break so he slows down and enunciates better.

The audio and video weren't in sync either. The video was just a tick behind the audio for sure when it was live action like intros or the promotional games during timeouts. Not sure if it was in sync on the pre-recorded things because I couldn't make out what was being said on the Cam Matthews interview for example.

Well there's an argument that's come full circle. For years we've heard fans bitchin about moving the students to the sides where all the old blue hairs sit and not cheer. Now, a request to move 'em back...

Perfect thread after a dominant SEC win…
it was a good crowd, great atmosphere and fun game. I haven't been to the Hump since the renovation and haven't been a ton since Hank "retired." I have bad tinnitus and poor hearing on top of that, I was just wondering of the PA was out of wack for everyone or if it was just me and the ol' lady. We were in the upper deck, but we've always sat in the upper deck and never had a problem hearing/understanding Hank.

We tried splitting the students up many years ago and it was a major revolt from them. They hated it.
