Pac 12 rejected $30 million/school offer from ESPN in Fall of 2022

SIAP. I had not previously seen this, but it may have been discussed in one of the many threads on here. The Pac 12 had an offer on the table from ESPN last fall that would pay each school $30 million. The schools rejected it and countered with $50 million. ESPN walked away. Oregon and Washington, coincidentally, will be getting $30 million from the Big 10 in 2024.

Man, what a cluster. I guarantee you there are 12 ACC programs taking note of this. P12 took a look at that gift horse and said F you. Now the majority of them are going to be much worse off than if they had just accepted that deal. Even the ones that ended up in the B12 are going to be doing well to just get to $30M. WSU and OSU are totally screwed. Cal and Stanford aren't exactly chump programs...and they're wandering the desert right now.
