@fairgambit it's nice to see you posting again. Welcome back after your hiatus!

Always looked forward to hearing your annual Christmas tree tales. Care to give us an update on this year's selection?
Thanks Frontier and a Merry Christmas to you and all our other board friends.
Mrs. Gambit and I are headed to a farm in Beaver County tomorrow, or Sunday, to find what we hope will be the perfect tree. We always go close to Christmas because we leave the tree up until February. I will happily provide an update.

Mrs. Gambit has the taste in trees, and you provide the muscle. I always look forward to the tale of the tree pursuit each year.

Actually 2023 is, perhaps, more accurate. Because we put up our tree so close to Christmas, and leave it up until mid February (our house rule is it must be down before Lent begins), our tree will spend much more time in 2023 than in 2022.
Just be careful to avoid an NCAA violation. You can have the tree at your house in 2022 but if you want it to count towards the 2023 class, don't show it to anyone until January 1st.

I hear the penalties can be pretty stiff, up to and including a 3 Year tree ban.

I'd hate to see you have to resort to a Festivus pole.
