I think the question has to be what coach do you think will come in and make Parson a heisman contender or one of the top qbs in the country. That's who we need to get. Someone whose offense will allow him to light up the score board passing and running and spreading the ball around and not qb up the middle or Davis off tackle all game. That's a system qbs will want to play in and need someone known for having that type of offense and developing top end qbs. If we go out and get a coach that runs a boring offense or doesn't have dynamic qbs in their system it's just not going to raise the bar or be good for recruiting wise to get or keep good qbs like parson. Need to build around him for next 3-4 years. Saw a vocal excited guy out there in 4th quarter in a losing match. Quick twitch, elusive, and had a lazer for an arm. That's what I have been wanting. Too bad we didn't get to see him under leach but need to find someone that can let him cook and mold him into top qb.

Herman runs an inside power type offense. Not too different from Dan. They throw some after they loosen it up running. Not anything wide open. If you want a mix of spread and AR Kinne is your guy. He only has a couple years as HC tho and at a lower level. So....who knows

Yeah that's what I thought. Both throw it around if they have the qb to do it. It felt like Meyer threw it more at Ohio state than he did at Florida.

Dana Holgerson would win with Parson and the talent we already have at WR.

We will be fortunate to keep our top WRs out of the portal. Don’t care about Rbs, dime a dozen. We need a coach that will maximize an athletic QB, assuming Parson stays, and go get us some electric WRs.

We need 3 Electric WRs and Parson. Not sure about y’all but Dan would be a perfect fit for Parson imo. He’s the best QB Coach available and it’s not even close.

Would be my 1st second and third phone calls before I went with Hermit or Dana

If he has the drive and wants to leave Texas he would do well with Parson. He runs a little more of the run heavy air raid. He has it pretty easy now. Thought he got tired of West Virginia and want to go home though

Where? He was at OSU with Urban.
He has a staunch winning record. Win the conference with Houston. Mullen has a more proven record but nobody wants him because "he doesn't recruit" but the nfl his loaded with talent he put there. And he left us for more prestige program. Hell I've seen lashlee and Kinne mentioned but both of those guys coached for Malzahn in his scheme but people turn their nose up to him too.

Our fans deserve what we get because they get distracted by the shiny new toy and possibilities rather than going for known proven winners at the power 5 level.

we would be lucky to have guys like a Mullen, Malzahn, Holgerson, or Herman.

news flash we ain't getting guys like leipold who are killing it ar power 5 and on the upswing on their career. If you want proven experience winner get a retread who was fired by one of the blue blood because they didn't win a championship. Otherwise you just firing a risk to higher s new one.

Dana Holgerson will not leave Houston for Mississippi State. He left West Virginia to go back to Houston. With that said, I’d be fine with reaching out and asking him. Most people on here don’t know that Holgerson spent his first two years as his own offensive coordinator at Mississippi College. Same year Mumme and Leach left Valdosta for Kentucky, Holgerson left Valdosta as a GA for Mississippi College. Maybe that time spent might make him consider us.

Parson and Dak are tight.

Dak may be a big reason we got Chris Parson.

I see some of Dak’s skill set in Parson.

I say all that to say….I would rather develop Chris Parson and hand him the keys to this offense….rather than bringing in a bust QB transfer and seeing Parson transfer out and go be a star somewhere else.

I'd rather want a proven winner than be some cuck for nobody I was buddies with at state that ain't got experience in ****. Did you and hodge share bunks at state. You still haven't told me what makes judge so great other than being bellechicks butler and we went to state.

i would rather have a proven coach actually coaching right now than Mullen who has been sitting in a bother for two years, but Mullen does know what he doing. How many heisman winners or finalist has your buddy judge coached?

Proud you left out the 17ing in that last one you're growing up so fast, keep cucking for Dan, maybe he will let his target wanting wife give you a kiss on the cheek.

You have yet to tell my why your bunk buddy deserves the state job other than he was your bunk buddy.

I have made my case in the other thread you were responding to and as I said he has a better coaching resume than 2 of our last 3 hires. You have your opinion and I have mine and unfortunately you can't live with someone disagreeing with you, Mullen did a lot for us not going to argue but how anyone would want to have him back and tanking the end of every year as he's spending more time looking for another job than coaching is beyond me. Oh and not once did I say he was my bunk mate and that's why I want him as a coach, you brought that up yourself, did he steal your girlfriend in college? You seem to have some real disdain for him.

Congrats on learning to reply. No I'm tired of people trying to pump guys just because they are state alumni . And I told you arnett was a mistake and where that got it. Moorhead too.. I'm tired of our alumni pushing for guys that have no business nor experience to be our coach in our biggest money making sport. It's Mickey Mouse **** this is the sec. I've not seen Simone defend judge as much as you. Especially after the giants debacle. What makes him more qualified? Just because he has coached special teams with bellechic? Dude hasn't coached college ball in years. Has no idea how to coordinate recruit build a staff or win. What does he know about offense or coach up a qb?

Wow a lot to unpack there, you told ME Arnett was a mistake, I never thought he was the right choice. And Moorhead, gold star there I don't think I ever said he was going to be a super star but willing to give them a chance and guess what much like our current situation he was not correct. Again you are welcome to your anger issues with not being able to tolerate or consider others opinions. Wait I just had an epiphany you are so correct and I and anyone who disagrees with you are completely wrong to quote a well known member (Trojan) go 17 yourself

No. That guy shopped us at the end of every year, causing us to lose at least three EB’s because of his distractions.
Wrong. We lost because ole miss had a better defense in 14 and 15. 17 they broke our qbs ankle in the first drive.
This is such a worn out fallacy that state fans have driven up because they can't fathom losing to ole miss and they can't fathom that msu doesn't have program prestige as good as other schools in the sec.

you responded to my thread. You go 17 yourself. If you don't like someone debating you on whether your idea or opinion sucks or not maybe message boards aren't for you or maybe you should try genes page. Seem to be a lot more sheep on this board in last few years.

The most obvious problem that I can see with the new six pack page is fact that people have no respect for any each other anymore and talk like they’re on the six grade playground. You guys need to chill out a little bit. it’s great that you guys have such passion for Mississippi State football but we’re not gonna solve all of our problems with this program on this message board.
