is in the Fulmer Cup standings. He'll boost you guys a few points, but other than that, it's not a big charge and it won't effect what really matters, your win-loss record.

Sounds like a pretty minor mistake.

are taught at an early age that the rules don't apply to them.

Like others have said, it's minor. Will have no effect on the season.

They always set them up on the first nice weekend in the spring. Always have, always will. They know that the nice weather will have people out drinking.

Pegues will be an out of control thug on the Spirit, and I'm sure Gene's boys will say that someone must have stolen his up to date license, and they planted an open container in his vehicle.

Reality is, he's 21 or 22 years old and in college. I did much worse. I was just fortunate not to get caught.

OM spirit has already started. Actually it is just one guy. Surprisingly enough most so far are dismissing it as a dumbass move. Give it time though

Every good football player needs to be arrested at least once. It puts hair on your chest.

with an open container and a good buzz. They gave me a field test, took me back to the station for a breathilizer and released me when it said I was under the limit. No charge for the open container and they didn't search my car (thank God). ******** wouldn't give me a ride back to my car though.

He could have had a beer can or what not in his car from a previous night. Im sure many of us have had days go by where a friend or yourself left a beer can in their car. Even if its empty, a cop can charge you with open container.

Edited to say I dont really care about this subject I just wanted to see how everything in Yuku works...think im gonna have to go with a Croom pic...there we go.

I had Dr. Ishee for a class and he actually told us it was illegal in Starkville to have an open beer container in your car, but there was no law against liquor. He told us ride around all you want with a mixed drink, just don't have an open beer can.

but I guarantee the next time we have hotel thieves, fighting in da club, drunk driving, or any other random indiscretion, they'll bring Pegues out and paint him and Jamon Hughes as thugs, even though it sounds like both of them were somewhat unfortunate to have gotten caught for fairly minor issues.

there is a good damn chance that if you beat the <17> out of a cop, then they aren't going to let you off if they catch you doing something. However, I would like to address this "let you off" idea.

You know, somebody needs to go have a damn talk with the Starkville cops -- I think. I mean, maybe both of these guys got warnings or something. But, hell, we can't field a damn team if the cops keep locking our guys up. Now, if they rape somene or are driving around town swerving drunk, hell, lock 'em up. But, this BS of a .05 blood alcohol level, or open container, or something like that: How about they load their *** up in the car and take them to the coach's house and tell him to keep a chain on his damn animals?

Unless you are Tommy Robertson, if you are legislator, you can do damn near anything in a car you want to. I am not suggesting that they be allowed that amount of latitude. But, these types of charges are **** that cops give warnings on all the damn time. I got pulled over in Flowood with a cop riding right beside me while I turned up a Rolling Rock. They got me out of the car, scared the **** out of me, and let me go. Lesson learned. It seems like the Starkville cops have a hard on for these guys. And it might stem from that fight.

I really don't think that getting popped for driving with a suspended license constitutes "trouble with the law"
