With St Partricks Day coming it got me thinking back to the great time we had visiting Dublin and attending Franklin’s first game at Croke Park. I recall there was pub converted into a Penn State bar in the Temple Bar district for a few days before the game ( I don’t think it was the actual Temple Bar but I could be wrong). The place had PSU souvenirs, Beaver Stadium highlights playing on big video screens, and they were lined up several deep at the bar just waiting to get some beer. We were fortunate enough to be seated with a cute former member of the Lionettes, and managed to have some fish a chips, and some Guinness before heading down the street for the pep rally. At one point the team passed by the window touring Dublin from the back of a few flatbed trucks and everyone broke out in the We Are chant - great memories.

anyway - does anyone recall the name of the bar? I know they had big Penn State banners hanging from the outside of the building. Thanks.

I believe it was Fitzsimons of Temple Bar. At least, from my pictures, that was the one I thought we were in. Or it could have been the Guinness...
