Northwestern is a 7-8 point favorite at home tonight. They are no longer a B10 bottom feeder and they are big in the paint. This will be a tough match up for the Lions. We need to cut down turnovers, keep Harrar out of foul trouble, and continue to hit 3s, and defend them, to have a chance for a road win tonight.

Well, we won 74 - 70 on the road, so that's good. But consider it's Northwestern so there's that.

Big win on the road against a team I’d expect to land around the bubble. Some more positive variance from us with making several tough 3s down the stretch, and a good break with Sam not getting whistled for the foul (though Audige making all 3 would have been unlikely).

Tough one coming up on Saturday against a Purdue team that is really, really good.

Stupid inbounds from dread with a timeout, but fate was on our side. I think having Lee and Harrar should help the rest of the way so Harrar doesn’t get beaten down. We will see how the rest of the season shapes up, but I like how shrewsberry has them playing.

We came close to giving it away on a turnover at the end on an errant inbounds pass. In other years that would have bitten us. But a Big10 win on the road is a good win, and NW is no pushover this year. Penn State battled back from a big deficit in this game and played with heart. They seem to be improving a lot from the beginning of the year and Coach Shrews is having an impact. They are on a good trajectory.
