curious what our FB office organization looks like and compared to others in the BIG we compete with. I heard from a good source that tOSU has over 150 people on payroll in its FB office, including coaches, GAs, interns, support staff and analysts. Some of their analysts are actually coaches between jobs. Anyone know what our FB org looks like? 150 seems insane in that a school like OSU will have external support staff from finance, IT, HR, etc, so they don't need to completely have all services internalized.

150 people on FB payroll? HA! We have more Athletic Directors than THAT!
150 staff (including the coaches) are going to create payroll and benefits around $40M. Then you would have the operating costs of running the department and team. Add the OSU cross charge for scholarships, fees, books, board, etc, and seems like you are into some real money. In 1995, I had a chance to visit the Detroit Lions operation, and they were running the team with 90 people including coaches. They did have alot of things outsourced, but still that is the NFL.
