Happy Friday and match day, everyone!

Prediction: Penn State 21, Iowa 11

I'm probably silly for not predicting any bonus points for Penn State but I've literally been staring at this thread and thinking for about 25 minutes and it's time to cut the cord, ha. Wins at 25, 33, 41, 74, 84, 97, and HWT for the Lions. Bonus for Iowa, decisions at 49 and 65.

What say you?

I agree. I think we hold serve in the weights where we’re ranked higher. I will be interested see if Hildebrandt can win the takedown battle against Ayala and if Ayala can get out from bottom. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and predict a convincing win for Nick Lee, borderline major. Eierman looks like his stamina is off, Lee’s constant pressure may wear him down, plus Eierman has looked off this year. I think the others are tight (Although Brooks has a shot at a major) and at HWT Kerk flips the script on Big Cass since Cass ain’t so big anymore; in other words, Kerk’s better health and athleticism wins. At 157, it’s more of the same; if our guys keep that under a major loss, I’ll consider it a win for us.

As long as the refs don’t get over-zealous with the CHA initiated stall calls, PSU should wins a great dual.

How can we find out who the referee is tonight? Hoping for Matt Sorochinsky. He always seems fair.

The source of all sources (Mineo) posed the question “Will Hildebrandt major Ybarra?” implying that Ybarra is going, not Ayala.

Note the source! He might be goofing around because Brands made a comment yesterday about how Internet trolls mess with his program.

I feel like there has to be an upset or two somewhere. Maybe Ayala beating Hildebrandt and one of our champs losing a close one. It will come down to 197 or 285 with Kerk getting it done if it does.

The more I think about it, I think it’s just Mineo messing with Iowa fans. There’s absolutely no reason why it wouldn’t be Ayala tonight.

19-12 Good guys. I have an uneasy feeling about Carter vs Kemmerer. If flipped, 16-15 good guys. On the other hand, Carter got his scare last week.

Bonus point for Kerk. Yeah, I'm calling it.

Close enough to claim the prize, whatever it is. I think AB should have chased the bonus but sort of took his foot off the pedal in the 3rd period, but 19-13 was a tidy win.

May have looked like I know what I'm talking about if I'd kept my mouth shut about Kerk :) . Good learning experience for Kerk though. I'm sure Cass has earned his respect upstairs. No need to go there if they meet again.

Right, if AB had hit the afterburners in the 3rd period and if Kerk wrestled smarter, it could have been a solid 23-10 beatdown.
