I actually like this... it tells me that the younger guys (who clearly had more PT later in season) are trending in the right direction. Yes, would have been nice to have the depth but this is major college football in 2022.

Unless he was injured all year, and no one was willing to disclose it, there was something absurdly strange with regard to Holmes' situation.
He had played a bit earlier in career - and appeared to be, at least, not completely without potential. And then, as the 2021 season progressed, and the offensive line was, to put it kindly, a complete dumpster fire, Even in game #1, against Wisconsin, when Whigan was being absolutely abused over the first few series, and they quickly went to the transfer from Harvard, with limited success, one might have reasonably expected Holmes to at least get a little run.
But Holmes never saw the field (I don't think I can recall him playing a single meaningful snap on offense the entire year)

A redshirt senior who can't get on the field should move on if he would like to see the field. It's clearly not happening at Penn State
Bingo...if you are already here 5 years, and can't get playing time behind this putrid OL....time to move on. Clarion, Shipp????
