Quite awhile. We'll get some non-conference dates trickling out here and there over the next month. But, last year, they announced the conference opponents July 11 and the schedule Oct. 2. We're obviously a month and a half later on the first part of the equation this year and I'd be surprised if the second part happened any sooner than Oct. 2.
Hopefully the BJC schedule of events will allow for at least one Saturday night BJC dual. Rutgers on a Monday last season wasn't really "event" level. It'd be nice to see both Iowa and Michigan at the BJC. Maybe the AD is already working on securing some prime dates. A higher profile OOC opponent would be cool too.
You would hope that after they got shut out last year, according to Cael, they put some kind of plan in place to make sure it won't happen again.
The BJC sat empty Friday, February 2nd while Penn State hosted Ohio State in Rec Hall. In fact, There was nothing scheduled at the BJC between the women’s basketball game on Sunday, January 28th until the women’s basketball game on Saturday, February 3rd at 6pm.
Granted, it is possible that when they were finalizing the wrestling schedule in October there was a hold on the BJC for a potential concert on February 2nd. However, Penn State could have moved the Buckeye dual to the BJC if they wanted to.
