Should it be disappointing that Edsall earned one of the 7 spots for the conference but got the 10 seed (I haven’t looked yet at who overtook his “spot”)

Not really, it's essentially the same as if he were the 7 seed. Same opening 7-10 matchup with the winner getting Marinelli, and his opening match is very winnable.

Just a reminder that these are the pre-seeds. The final seeds usually follow the pre-seeds, though occasionally there is a small movement.

As for the brackets, the 1st and 2nd seeds have byes. Here's how the brackets are set up for each weight class:

#1
bye

#9
#8

#5
#12

#13
#4

^^ TOP HALF ^^
-------------
↓↓ BOTTOM HALF ↓↓

#3
#14

#11
#6

#7
#10

bye
#2

But if he gets 8 or 9, he gets Kharchla, which I’d prefer over The Bull, but by no means an easy match.

I all honesty, I don't think he beats any of the top 3 seeds. Everyone else I think is fair game in the wrestlebacks

This is The best time of the year! I work (retiring in June) in a seasonal business and our industry has been slammed for 2+ years and I am so ready to go, but I cannot wait for the weekend. The reason I mention my business is because normally this time of the year, it's similar to the guy who spins plates on top of sticks. He starts by spinning one plate, then two, three and so on until he's running back and forth keeping all the plates spinning like a nutcase. Friday evening I let all the plates clatter to the floor and Saturday morning my chores are caught up, the wife knows that I'll be locked into the tournament. I Almost feel guilty for, as my adult kids would say, I'll be 'watching wrestling until my eyes bleed'. They have good senses of humor. We do go to church on Sunday, but I make sure we race home to 'enjoy a day of rest', and I tune back into the action. My wife is a widow for most of this weekend. And then again for NCAA's. Man, I Love this time of the year!

I debated what thread to put this in, and settled on this one. As the Pirate shows, bonus points will be important at the B1G Tournament.

One thing is that PSU probably has guys that can exceed seed more likely than Iowa. If Bartlett, Berge and Edsel each wrestle 3 spots above seed (doable). Iowa has 125 where they could likely make a big move.

Should be a great tournament.
