Our program is in good hands even after this Memphis loss tonight. The Legend knows what he is doing. These guys are playing their hearts out. Raffo will bring in Polks philosophy and his extremely nice wife will serve milk and cookies to our guys after each game.

Sincerely,

I do think they are playing their hearts out, it's just that they've been poorly managed, had some injuries, and some major distractions.

I hate to make excuses, because we should be doing better, and all of the above fall on Polk in some way shape or form.

Nonetheless, I do feel like they are playing hard as a team- and I appreciate and expect that from them. It sucks for them. Some of them just aren't SEC caliber, and are just doing the best they can. Of course none of them are on the DL. It just seems like we make some really stupid fundamental mistake that leads to a big inning, and our pitchers don't throw strikes consistently enough. And to those who say that if the aren't SEC caliber, they shouldn't be on our team, I wholeheartedly agree. I hope they follow Raffo to Samford next year.

An overhaul is MUCH overdue. I hope whoever the next coach is can at the very least shore up their fundamentals, we probably have at least five more wins even with all the injuries.

We';re just not a very talented team. We can blame Polkie SHerrill for the psycho distractions his "retiring" (yet again) is causing. However, the reason we're not hitting Home runs, or getting key hits with RISP, or throwing strikes, or looking at STrikes down the middle, is that the team is just not that talented. This may be on Ron Polk for not recruiting good players, but in the end good teams make plays while bad teams make excuses. </p>
