Finally, since 1991, we are having a legitimate coaching search. There are calls being made, negotiations happening, and all the things in a coaching search going on that is supposed to. This is what its SUPPOSED to be like. A few things everyone needs to remember:

1. Casey wasnt EVER coming here. He is a West Coast guy. Its all he knows.
2. Cohen cant be named Head Coach before July 1st. Should it be him, we gonna have to wait
3. Auburn is searching too...we have to take turns interviewing

Everything is fine. Raffo is not going to be our next head coach. If he was, it would have already happened.

or Polk. The way he posts with the constant "Rafool is the man" and one short sentence after another, leads me to belive it could be Polk finally hitting the WWW or Jean trying to push his candidate

All you ever do is post "Raffo is the man". At least say why you think he's the man, and then take your ridicule like a man- oh wait, you played for Polk this past year.

Stuff is happening, we're just not hearing about it. See the fact we don't find out until Wednesday that Smith interviewed on Saturday. And quit getting so damn freaked out about coaches interviewing at Auburn. Nobody, and I mean nobody, is going to take the Auburn job over the MSU job. They're going to get a coach we passed on, not the other way around.

ever since I heard Byrne speak at the River Hills Club in Jackson a few weeks ago. The man knows what he is doing. He knows how to conduct a search. He knows what most MSU people want and what MSU baseball needs in the next head coach. Byrne will not screw this up, he can't afford to. I have complete confidence in him to land us the coach we need to bring MSU baseball back to where it should be. The fact that we are sitting here knowing exactly jacksquat about the search itself is a good sign. As Peaches has pointed out on many occasions lately, the fact that Raffo isn't head coach right now is also a good sign. Have a little patience, Greg Byrne is not Larry Templeton.

Raffo will NOT be the man. So quit worrying about that.
