Guys, check out this video of UVA pitching coach. He has not had a pitcher with an arm injury in 16 years of coaching. This is the type of coach O'Conner will bring in with him. I really like what I hear from him so far. He looks like he knows pitching and will greatly improve our staff.

Wow. You think this is how the Legend, McInjury and Laffo teach pitching?

I'd like to hire a coach who can bring in Virginia's pitching coach. Their hitting concerns me a little bit.

I wonder if he also uses Tom House's theory on icing. House's view is do not ice unless you are sore after you pitch and then, exercise while you are icing. Nah, couldn't be true. We all know that we're the ONLY team that doesn't ice.

check out the pitching coach's bio. He does an outstanding job everywhere he goes. I promise you he would have our staff well below the 7.00 ERA that we put up this year and the 5.00 ERA we put up last year.

Just know that the UVa park is cavernous. I don't recall the dimensions but it's HUGE...real pitcher's paradise. It does NOT change the fact that they do a great job with the pitching staff...but the park is partially responsible for the ERA stats they have.</p>

That probably explains why they're always at or near the bottom of the conference in home runs. They're usually near the top in batting average, but I think that's a worthless stat. They're usually at or near the top in OBP, which is an important stat, but near the bottom in SLG, which is also an important stat. A couple of things I really like is that they have led the league in stolen bases the last three years, and by a huge margin the last two. They are also at or near the top in HBP every year. For those of you who talk up Cohen's aggressive style, you have to give O'Connor his due for having a squad that has stolen 262 bases over the last two years. That's pretty unbelievable. For comparison, the #2 team in the ACC over the last two years (Miami) stole 172 bases. Vanderbilt, the #1 team in the SEC over the last two years, stole 153 bases.

Got this confirmed about two hours ago
it is quotes like this that give a small amount of interest to an otherwise BORING *** time of the year for college sports fans (at least those not in baseball playoffs).

I just confirmed he is coming. See I can sound like I know what I am talking about too, and just like you, I need no attribution.
