yep thanks for this...he set the stage, paved the way etc for the likes of Buttle, Allerman, Hostetler, Bannon, Parlevechio, both of the 31's, all of the 11's, some guy named Lee, another named Navarro, the meanest 35 who played in the 1987 Fiesta Bowl. The dude was to the Penn State tradition what the interstate highway system was to the greatest economy in world history.

I’m twice biased as a Penn State and Steelers fan, but IMO he’s the best, most complete OLB ever. Even better than LT (all due respect).Jack Ham was the perfect LB. The man could stuff the run and was like glue in pass coverage. Also, Ham was a tackling machine. His technique was flawless.
I like watching old tape of him showing form tackle after form tackle. His combination of wrapping up and at the same time hitting is so awesome to watch.Jack Ham | Pro Football Hall of Fame

I'm confident in saying that Ham, Lambert and Russell were collectively the best tackling linebackers ever in the NFL. Was there ever a defense who played at such a high level for so long? I suppose that the number of Hall of Famers from that unit is confirmation.I like watching old tape of him showing form tackle after form tackle. His combination of wrapping up and at the same time hitting is so awesome to watch.
