Florida stunned #9 Ole Miss

If we beat ranked Clemson, the momentum will jump us over them!!!

Texas, IMO, beats A&M.

The SEC will get 4 teams. Bama, UGA, and the Texas/A&M winner. We want Texas bc 3 loss A&M is then under us

All we would need to be that 4th team, with all this momentum, is Vandy to upset Tennessee.

OR…..some national help w ND losing, and SEC getting a 5th

The first of several unlikelies….happened. Florida over Ole Miss. Yes that puts us and Ole Miss at 3 losses, howver, they have Miss St left and we have top 15 Clemson left. We can catapult over them w the committee seeing obviously different trajectories between us and them

Now, the only games today that could help is Army beating ND or Kentucky stunning Texas

What about #14 BYU ?? They're playing right now. I want everyone ahead of us to lose and then let the math, math.

ASU winning 7-0

Why would we jump a 3 loss Ole Miss team (if we beat clemson) when we also have 3 losses and we lost to them head to head?

I didnt mention them bc the Big12 winner is in and probably their only 1 bid. BYU losing would be fine, but if they or Colorado win B12 they’ll be in as champ.

We badly need at large teams to lose

I just think the committee takes momentum and trajectory into consideration. We are obviously peaking, Ole Miss is regressing. Ole Miss will drop to around 13/14, we probably are around 15. Us beating a top 15 the next week, while they play a terrible Miss State, I think we jump em, I just do, especially if we can beat Clemson by a good margin

That's certainly a hope. I just think head to head would be measured more than momentum.

Lets say Texas beats A&M and Vandy upsets Tennessee, or Georgia Tech upsets UGA.

Any 2 of these creates a 4-way tie of SEC teams at 4th. We have head to head over A&M, Ole Miss over us, UGA over UT, etc so they would go to other tie breakers. I think momentum would be considered simce “best team right now” is what they want

That is certainly one hope. I imagine if we were told a team that we beat, but had the same record, got in over us. We'd be livid.

You are the most positive fan, but the most delusional.
There is no chance a 3 loss team without a conference championship gets in.
Get some rest. Your bong is overheating.

The Big 12 winner isn't guaranteed a spot, btw. That team would still need to be ranked high enough.

Head to head is one thing - yes...

But when you compare the losses, We lost to highly ranked LSU and highly ranked Bama by a combined 5 points......

I didn't look it up but I'm betting our losses look a whole lot better than Ole Mrs' losses.

I get all that. Then we can compare wins too. I'm just one of those that goes record- head to head - tie breakers.

Do you know Ol’Miss‘ strength of schedule? I wonder if that would tell us anything?

I honestly don't. I imagine we could come up with lots of tie breakers ideas. The only question is which tie breakers the committee works through first.

Alabama, barring a miracle, is playing its way out of the playoff right now.

It have to be someone on the committee that knows what’s going on week by week. SC is on a 5 game win streak and would be 6 if we beat Clemson. That would also be 4 ranked teams we beat on that win streak, more than anybody in the top 25. I’m sorry but having the 8th hardest schedule with the rest of the things I pointed out should get us in. If they count the LSU lost against us knowing our QB left the game at halftime and the refs took LSU ML then we need a new system. Because no way in hell we would be ranked with losses to UK, LSU, and UF or if our losses was Vandy, Tennessee, and OU by 21.
