You fondly remember the Woods & Bradstard eras, huh?Better yet, let's just wear Garnet helmets only going forward. No more White helmets and definitely no more Black helmets too.
I think OP is superstitious. You fondly remember the Woods & Bradstard eras, huh?
Nothing wrong with any of our helmets.
I'm fine with any of the three colors, as long as they don't have the script "Carolina" on them. You fondly remember the Woods & Bradstard eras, huh?

Bingo!!I'm fine with any of the three colors, as long as they don't have the script "Carolina" on them.
I like the middle stripes from the Rogers era paired with the Gamecock on the side from the Dietzel era. Probably one of the very few things I liked about Dietzel. The white "George Rogers" look is my favorite.
The best moments from the Spurrier era were in white helmets, but that's because they didn't have garnet or black then.Historically most of Carolina’s best moments occurred in the white helmets.
'92 clem game?! What's so great about that, other than it snapped a 4-year losing streak? The best moments from the Spurrier era were in white helmets, but that's because they didn't have garnet or black then.
Some of the best moments prior to that were in garnet or black.
1984 didn't utilize white helmets. Neither did the 1987 or 1992 Clemson games.
I'll give ya' that.
I consider the George Roger/Carlen years and the Spurrier years to be the best of Gamecock football.White Helmets during those years.I really don’t care what color they wear but they should stick to one. It’s just me but I like to be able to identify the teams playing by their uni’s.The best moments from the Spurrier era were in white helmets, but that's because they didn't have garnet or black then.

That game, USC's last as an ACC member, was played on 11/21/1970 in Clemson. I was there.I consider the George Roger/Carlen years and the Spurrier years to be the best of Gamecock football.White Helmets during those years.I really don’t care what color they wear but they should stick to one. It’s just me but I like to be able to identify the teams playing by their uni’s.
My first Carolina Clemson game was in Columbia when Suggs was a senior. All the seniors wore black helmets and the rest of the team white. Also saw that in HS with Mooney Player having offense and defense wear different color helmets.
I was at SC during the Rogers days. White should be the main helmetAGREE
Seeing and reporting of an insignificant politician in a Men's bathroom in Pickens County is not something of which I'd be proud. That game, USC's last as an ACC member, was played on 11/21/1970 in Clemson. I was there.
You are correct regarding seniors wearing black helmets.
I also saw then-Lt. Governor Earle Morris in one of the restrooms.
Same here and agree.I was at SC during the Rogers days. White should be the main helmet
It was a few days before my 11th birthday. Nothing untoward.Seeing and reporting of an insignificant politician in a Men's bathroom in Pickens County is not something of which I'd be proud.
And........................what was he doing in said restroom??I also saw then-Lt. Governor Earle Morris in one of the restrooms.
Do you think he was resting?And........................what was he doing in said restroom??
You talking about the Elliott Chicken Butt helmet??I don’t really care anymore. As long as they never wear those eagles looking helmets with the feathers again. I think the all white is pretty sharp. Wearing new helmets each week also keeps it interesting and I’m sure the players like it.
What every male fan was doing in there at halftime, I assume.And........................what was he doing in said restroom??

No. We shouldn't. If you haven't noticed, we have a defined "stripe sequence" on all our sports uniforms. Very easily noticeable on football, basketball, etc. That stripe sequence isn't followed on the throwback helmet & doesn't match the pants or jersey stripes like the normal white helmet does. That throwback helmet should only be worn when/if we wear a complete throwback set. Period! We should wear the George Roger's era white helmet every single game.
