Polk names successor, new head coach to come in

It's Pat Mcmahon. Since when does anybody name their successor twice? Also, is this not technically his 3rd time to resign and/or retire. I seem to recall a temporary one in years back.

I think the first time may have been in 1993 and I think it lasted maybe a little longer than 2 weeks, but not much longer. I still think that the day he un-retired (the first time) was the turning point in MSU baseball. Before then, if we didn't make the CWS it was usually because somebody upset us in a regional. After then, if we did make the CWS, it was usually because we upset somebody else in a regional.</p>

Coach Polk also named Dave Perno as his successor at Georgia

Doesn't really add to or take away from the convo....just thought I would add that

offered the job to several people before Perno. They just got turned down.
