How does everyone feel about tonight's all SEC MNC game, and why.......
Yep, I some old Westerns, and 70 episodes of Tales of Wells Fargo DVR's that may be more entertaining.....We've already seen this one a few weeks ago and others that match up just like it like nearly every year at this time. How many times are we expected to watch this rerun?
I will not watch. The teams don't matter to me. No matchup would draw my interest unless Penn State was in it and I have no illusions that we will ever get in. College football has changed forever. If I want to watch pro football I will watch the NFL, not the minor league variety. How does everyone feel about tonight's all SEC MNC game, and why.......

Agreed. This is the NFL without rules or a mechanism in place to help with parity. Zero interest.
Why? Because the kids are getting in on the grift? This is the NFL without rules or a mechanism in place to help with parity. Zero interest.

No one would be saying it if any new team not typically involved in the game were there. At least LSU made it more interesting a couple years back.Nobody would be saying College Football is stale or uninteresting if PSU were in the mix yr in yr out, just enjoy the greatness that is Uncle Nick, he will not be there forever. When this thing goes to 8 or 12 teams, it will open it up.
That’s Georgia’s second appearance since the BCS was formed in 1998. LSU has been in the championship game a lot more frequently. No one would be saying it if any new team not typically involved in the game were there. At least LSU made it more interesting a couple years back.
Unlike LSU, Georgia is primed to be there for years to come alongside Alabama. That’s Georgia’s second appearance since the BCS was formed in 1998. LSU has been in the championship game a lot more frequently.
If you created a list before this season, I’m sure that Michigan wouldn’t have been on it…and yet they had a very legitimate shot at getting there.Unlike LSU, Georgia is primed to be there for years to come alongside Alabama.
How many teams have a legitimate shot at getting to the national championship game in the immediate future? That list is very short and it detracts from the interest of the game.
I made this point elsewhere on here, but that game against Georgia showed just how far Michigan (and us by extension) are from being able to get to the level of actually challenging for a national title. If you created a list before this season, I’m sure that Michigan wouldn’t have been on it…and yet they had a very legitimate shot at getting there.
You could say the same thing about the ‘86 team taking on Miami. Miami was stacked that year. We were stacked too, but there was a bigger disparity in talent in ‘86 than in this season’s semifinals.I made this point elsewhere on here, but that game against Georgia showed just how far Michigan (and us by extension) are from being able to get to the level of actually challenging for a national title.
They do seem to lack something. Is anyone else disappointed when they see a poll and it's not a Midnighter poll?
Actually, the college football season ended on 10/23 (the Illinois game).
Yep, appreciate your comment and there is no pure apathy choice. I didn't number them, but there is apathy in #3, #4 and #6.GregInPitt, you mention "apathy" in the title but true apathy wasn't really one of the poll choices.
So consider this a write-in vote for "apathy because although I am a passionate Penn State football fan, I am no longer a fan of college football in general that doesn't involve or affect PSU - didn't even know that the game was last night but did hear the result on sports radio this morning on the way to work."
Do you think this write-in has a realistic chance to actually win the poll?
