"First of all I want to thank everybody for coming out. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Jennifer and what she's accomplished. Obviously, she's had a lot of success....but it's Elle and I didn't even have to review the pics".
I have to go with Elle, the original “Uptown Girl” and the inspiration for the Billy Joel classic. That dude must have some stories….
I didn't even look at the pictures (until after I voted!). Elle is an all-timer.
I've heard variations on the story. The one that I found most interesting was that the song was based on Joel was in the Caribbean, playing his piano, and was approached or met three models: Elle Macphearson, Christie Brinkley, and Whitney Houston. The song's working title was originally (before being released) Uptown Girls, about wanting to have a chance with one of them.
Joel ended up having a one-year relationship with Macphearson, and then went on to a relationship (and a marriage) with Brinkley.
Anybody that was in a one-year relationship with Macphearson, and was married for nine years to Brinkley, must have some amazing stories.
I’m going to buck the trend so far and go with Rachel. Something about her does it for me (and I’ll apparently have less competition).

I think part of the reason many think it's about Brinkley is that: 1) the title and lyrics were changed from Uptown Girls to Uptown Girl, 2) Brinkley, who was in a relationship with Billy Joel when the song was released, was the Uptown Girl featured in the official video that was released with the song, and 3) Joel has hinted (some say more out of convenience and because he was married to Brinkley) that she was the source of the song, without (I believe) ever saying conclusively that she was the focus of the song.
Agreed. Jen is great…maybe should’ve drawn a more favorable pairing. Elle is just an all-timer…like Mt. Rushmore fantastic.
I think Aniston is beautiful, and would vote for her over many of the others that have won in rounds of this poll. Alas, she's got a really tough match-up in this round. I gave myself time to consider, and reconsider, my vote. I just can't get past the 2nd pic of Elle Macpherson, and am voting for her.
As much as I like Elle, it is Jen all the way for me! The whole contest can be done now - Jen comes out on top....

Poor Jennifer Aniston. This is an annihilation from the get go. FWIW, as good as the second photo of Elle is, I think the fourth and final photo is even better.
Elle easy. I thought Christie Brinkley was the inspiration for Uptown Girl but I could be wrong.

Joel has said it was about multiple women, but at the time, he was living on NYC's upper east side with a 19-year-old Elle. Elle has also said it was awkward when one night Joel brought Christie home to find Elle lounging in the apartment waiting for Joel. We know who won out, but Joel said the inspiration was Elle and the group of models he was running with at the time.
And don’t forget Billy went on to another relationship with a good Huntington WV girl

For me this one was about approachability. Jen has zero regular guy approachability. In Hermosa, late night walking on the beach with half a bottle of tequila, smoking a joint, I think Elle just may hit this Rick

Not able to capture in a pic but the Australian accent would be a ‘nice to have’. Not the sexiest accent - but maybe Top Ten.
Aniston is certainly a worthy competitor in the tournament, but Elle is Elite 8/Final 4 material. As a kid I was just in awe at SI pics of her and Kathy ireland.
Kathy Ireland has pretty much the entire package but, in my very humble (and subjective) opinion, her eyebrows are a little too heavy. I know this sounds like one of those "Would not bang" comments (mea culpa), but her eyebrows make me think of Spongebob's nemesis, Doodlebob. When he gets mad. ("Me hoy minoy.")
