Vitamin C is important.

How about the Orange Bowl, then?

I guess it would depend on context.

If the Lions stumble out of the gate, lose to Auburn and UM, but surge to victories over OSU and and Sparty and improve at the end and finish 9-3/10-2 sure.

But if the Lions surge out of the gate, roll over Auburn and UM, but collapse at the end and drop dismal losses to OSU and Sparty, and finish 9-3/10-2, then no.

Injuries will surely play a factor as well. I'll be content if we improve over last year.

Why wouldn't a true Penn State fan be happy if we play in a bowl game? Isn't that one of our goals every year?

Too much negativity on this board.

Absolutely would be happy if we play in Citrus Bowl. We all know the many variables associated with this team for 2022 (O-line, Running Game, Quarterback, Kicking game, tough schedule, new defense head coach to name a few ). Making a decent bowl game would indicate success in some form for this season. I am taking the negativity as a means to stir up some discussion and having some fun. This will be a fun season to watch IMHO.

It’s fair to have higher expectations I think. We pay a coach a top ten salary and he recruits at a high level. A higher level than on field results would suggest. Sandy had high expectations - that, or she doesn’t mind giving a football coach a truckload of money to go to the Citrus Bowl. As long as fans are happy with the Citrus Bowl, we’ll keep playing there. Brady Hoke recruited better than CJF while at Michigan and he was canned for not winning.

It will be a fun season to watch though I’m sad there won’t be any CJF to USC rumors to enjoy.

CJF is going to USC…..just haven’t seen the schedule yet to know when. 😂

I'm happy to have them in a bowl game.

However, a Citrus invite means PSU was at best third in the Big Ten and it also means it'll take more than a drive across town to see the Nittany Lions play in person, neither of which gives me a tingly-all-over feeling.

So the question shouldn’t be happy vs not happy. The real (abd underlying) question is -what are you doing to do if you are unhappy about it?

I am happy with the Citrus bowl or better almost any year. Obviously how we finish the year impacts my satisfaction.
