Well, sooner or later, one of them will make the tournament . . . eventually. So, option #3 can't be it. I'm gonna say UMass with Frank.

UMASS finished the season 2021-2022 season 15-17 overall and 7-11 in conference (10th place). I believe Lamont Paris and the Gamecocks are more likely to get an at-large NCAA birth than an Atlantic 10 team.

It could be #3, meaning neither Paris or Martin take these teams to the NCAAT.

Isn't this the first time one of our former coaches got another job at a major school? UMass was good under Cal.

While I know this is used to say we’re a coaching graveyard, it’s also an indicator that our jobs are destination jobs and not steps up. We’ve had quite a few coaches finish their careers here (Holtz, Spurrier, Odom, Fogler, McGuire, Tanner, etc…). Any of those guys could’ve gotten decent jobs had they desired to.

But for the record, Bill Foster coached Northwestern after he coached here. So it isn’t the first time.

Gee, I wish we had let him go to LSU instead of manipulating us into giving him free reign to destroy all our athletic programs. He would have won at least a couple of National Championships for LSU baseball. But instead we got this.

Those championships are precious.
