Poor Dallas…

Is it common in the NBA to trade draft picks from 6.5 years in the future? I guess with the draft only being 2 rounds, it makes sense that it could be that way. But it still seems strange when reading it.
Here’s what I’m seeing. Don’t know how accurate it is…

I don't know about common, but my team (Thunder) made trades in the last few years where they received 2026 and 2027 first and second round draft picks in return for the players they traded away.
He does need help.
But it’s only a short term solution— unless Kyrie’s weirdness is Texas compatible.
That’s a disaster of a trade. Dallas just traded away their best perimeter defender in that deal and then tack on Kyries weirdness.
Second round picks are tossed around like candy. It’s the first round picks that have value.
I heard he was going to play the remainder of the season as Uncle Drew.
