Positions where we seem to have depth and where we don't

Looking at the BWI 2022 Preview edition, which is very well done - IMO, some of the position groups really look deep.

QB and RB rooms have good looking talent depth, although some lack playing time. Seems like we could be okay with the occasional injury in these groups. Even Sean can be backed up by CV. We are way better than last year.

OL - interior really looks good as we have a number of people who can plug and play around C and OG. OT though really seems thin, and not as many options.

TE and WR seem to have deep groups, and with some decent playing time. These groups feel very solid.

DL - we seem to have some decent DE's including pure edge rushers. Isaac health coming back seems pretty key. The 3-T DT really feels loaded. We appear to have nobody to backup PJ at 1-T DT, at least with the big body model. In the new DEF scheme this does feel like one of the biggest vulnerabilities. Not sure how much Purdue and OU will test this, but Auburn clearly will, and possibly six other power teams.

LB - overall not much size or experience. seems like great position speed. A lot being pinned on the hope that Jonathan Sutherland will emerge as a great SAM OLB and mention of Abdul Carter (#11) being potential impact player. Seems like the highest risk position group, especially if the DT's are getting pushed around in a run game.

DB - hard to complain about this group - NFL type talent all over. Trick here will just be managing who is on the field.

ST's - Jordan won us a few games with his leg - and may have lost a couple with FG misses. His punting was crucial to this team. In fact with Blake before him, we have had a run of 7 years of really good punting. We now move forward with an elite FR and a couple other guys on the roster, so this feels like the second biggest risk. FG seems like it should be about the same. KOR probably a bit better and PR not quite as good as Jahan, but overall return similar to 2021. ST one line story is find a punter.

Coaching - see this as a big improvement from 2020/2021 - hard to imagine coaching getting worse.

BWI crew are mostly predicting 9-3, which I think would be great against this schedule.
