Positives on this season.

I'm trying to be more of a "glass half full guy" these days. I would like to hear positives from everyone regarding this fall football season.

My positive is that my yard has never looked better.

Oh yeah. The D is much improved in the second half. It's amazing how they get torched in the first half and then not so much in the second. No doubt it's our in game adjustments at halftime***

My positive isnā€™t very Mississippi State related, but this season has been by far the most interesting and entertaining nationally in years. NIL may make us worse, but it may also make everyone worse until someone figures out a system. I love the playoff chaos right now, and having 12 teams will be fun. I do think the current state of things gives Mississippi State more of a chance than traditionally. With the SEC changing formats, we could have the perfect storm of easy schedule, good team, and an upset in a single season and sneak into the top 12 without winning the SEC. Also nice to not play Bama every year now.

Caught up on a podcast I've been wanting to listen to on the way back to Jackson from the game the other night. We bounced with three minutes to go in the 2nd quarter, and I wasn't even tempted to turn on the radio broadcast for the ride back.

It does until we go to a 9-game SEC schedule. And with no divisions, we have virtually no shot of winning the SEC.

We could conceivably make the playoff though, once a decade.

Been getting a whole bunch done on my Saturdays with a lot more physical activity. Been awesome. I may give up on the program all together.
May even quit giving money.
