I thought it was discussed here earlier but didn't have time to find the thread. This was announced several weeks ago and isn’t new news, the noon kickoff not the whiteout.
Agreed! Beth Mowins should have this game!!F*ck fox.
Actually, with Fox taking the OSU/Michigan game and just picking the Bama/Texas game last week, there is a better chance we end up with the OSU game on ABC.
And your point is? Their schedule and game selection process is not yet complete.Major Matchups and Rivalry Games on ABC Highlight ESPN’s Early Season College Football Schedule – College GameDay Built by The Home Depot Kicks Off 2022 at Notre Dame-Ohio State

A noon whiteout will force me to wear blue.
But the gates will open at 6am and I can get in to smoke my meat!Wear pajamas. Sleepwalk through the noon kickoff like our team will.
I can see that you have a lot emotionally invested in this thread. I just can’t imagine what you would do if you got proven to be wrong."BWI’s understanding is that FOX is set to pick up the game. FOX has pegged its national, marquee matchups for noon kicks. And, with the World Series set to begin that weekend, the network is unlikely to have its national pregame college football show Saturday morning lead into a World Series game. It also isn’t likely to move that pregame show, allowing the World Series to spill over into a college football game."
Penn State White Out shirts 'amazing' despite 2022 uncertainty
Though not yet announcing an opponent for its annual White Out game at Beaver Stadium, an in-person view of this year's shirt is 'amazing.'www.on3.com
I'll be there either way. Not sure I'll be in the stadium, but I'll be there.I can see that you have a lot emotionally invested in this thread. I just can’t imagine what you would do if you got proven to be wrong.
You missed the game the will have the biggest impact on our kickoff time…The World SeriesWho are these trolls that are predicting and fearing the worst? There have been 'White Out' games in late Oct, and this year will be another. When I spoke with Sandy in April, she could not confirm but smiled when I asked about our schedule. Penn State is obviously waiting for the new AD to make his announcement.
What other possible game will compete with a white out ????

PSU has zero leverage for setting the TV time for the OSU game. It's not PSU's call, and the powers that be have contracts that enable them to dictate it. All PSU can do is move the whiteout to a different game but from a TV perspective that will make little difference. Viewers will tune in because it's a big game vs. OSU regardless if fans are wearing white. Fox would still get theirs either way.IMO, Penn State has all of the leverage here. Everybody knows the reputation of the Whiteout and the impact of having it at night. You simply don't set the whiteout until you know you have a night game. People are going to watch OSU vs. PSU anyway. Call the network's bluff and have it against somebody else. If the BIG was smart, they would be helping us.
Your math is wrong…yes, the World Series will likely get higher ratings than PSU-OSU…and regardless, Fox isn’t bumping the World Series for our game.So last year entire series was 11.7 million for 6 games. Do more than 2 million watch psu osu?
highest rated series 1978 33 million.
baseball went the way of nba.
Yea looks like the site I chose was t very good. Saying that the The two are very close 6.5 mil to 8mil roughly.Your math is wrong…yes, the World Series will likely get higher ratings than PSU-OSU…and regardless, Fox isn’t bumping the World Series for our game.
Right. That's not what I said. PSU has 100% of the leverage on when to have a whiteout.PSU has zero leverage for setting the TV time for the OSU game. At least the first officially recognized game in '04. We were 2-3 when we played Purdue and lost to go to 2-4.Here's a ?????. Has there ever been a Whiteout game when PSU was under .500 at the time of the game? We could easily have 3-4 losses come Oct 29.
Great gut check opportunity for Penn State. Why do I fear failure?Penn state would be stupid to have the whiteout at noon. If fox announces noon then no whiteout .
why is it presumed that tOSU must always be the white-out game?
Ohio University Bobcats on 9/10/22? I believe everyone is getting the two games confused?Who else would it be for?
