So the game is on the 28th. I will wake up in Memphis on the 29th. That gives me four days to get back to Montgomery, Al. Have y'all got any ideas on anywhere fun for a single middle aged man with no kids to go for those four days? Looking at the map it's looking kind of meh. I did Hot Springs Arkansas a couple months ago, I doubt I will go back. What else is there y'all know about?

There is a really nice town in Lafayette County Ms, you will fall in love with it and it’s not far from your return route.

You really should give it a try

looks more like your kind of place.
It will make you feel better about yourself. You know when you go to the zoo and realize that you’re at the top of the food chain? It kinda like that.

If you like music, check out who’s performing— whether it’s Memphis or Nashville?

The Flaming Lips’ two-night run at The Caverns in Pelham is sold out though.

Never been to a show at The Caverns or seen TFLs....that'd have been a cool show to make. Pelham to Pelham only 2hr 57min.

What's the capacity at The Caverns?

Depends on the configuration.

850 sitting, 1,250 standing is what their website says.

I’ve been to a Bluegrass Underground taping there and had a fantastic experience.

If you are a Civil War buff there is a LOT to see in West TN and North Ms. Ft. Donnelson, Parkers Crossroads, Shiloh, Corinth, Davis Bridge, Brice's Crossroads, Tupelo, Okolona, the US Grant library at MSU (if it's open). There are a lot of other smaller sites too.

In your situation, I think I'd probably go see Shiloh and maybe spend a night at Pickwick. Then on to Nashville for a day or so, and catch the NASA museum in Huntsville on the way home.

You could spend a night in sharecropper cabins at The Shak up Inn on Hopson plantation at Clarksdale or Tallahatchie Flats in Greenwood.

Alluvian and Giardina’s in Greenwood is also a good an option if you want a 3-400 dollar hotel room for a night.

Good plan for sure, especially if the Predators are at home. Going to a Preds game is a BLAST!

Two nights in the shack up inn in a cabin there is just my style. Booked and done.

Yup...and spend one night at Ground Zero Blues Club. It is something everyone must experience.

Robert Earl Keen is doing his Christmas show on the 29th at the Germantown Performing Arts Center.
