Do we have any idea about Robison as an Xs and Os coach? I want somebody established.

I liked Spencer’s energy when he was here. Either one sounds like an up and coming hire. As was said though, they need to determine how good they are with play calling.

Pry was also the linebacker coach. The new hire would need that capability unless there was room to bring in two coaches. Poindexter could possibly be the DC and continue coaching the safeties. A LB coach could then be hired from the outside. Since PSU is known as LBU it seems it would be good to have a coach dedicated to that position.

Why not Poindexter as DC as he is already Co-DC and will likely leave for that opportunity sooner than later?

But really, how do they come up with these names? And why are they focused on a DL coach? Only makes sense if Scott is leaving. Find out soon enough.

I think anyone but Poindexter getting the DC job would be an upset. Might bring in then a LB coach and appoint that person, or someone else on staff, as junior co-dc with Poindexter taking playcall duties.

I looked at the commit list for 2022 on one recruiting services website and there’s 4 DL in the top 20 going to Texas A&M. Wow. Of course probably other factors involved more than just Robinson, but that’s impressive. Even if they are getting paid 😂😂 Again don’t know how Robinson is with Xs and Os. He’s been a line coach for what? 8 years?

One from Tenn and 3 from TX i believe, easier to keep them in the south, better recruiting ground.

Yea I have seen that and then other things saying no. So who knows.
I believe ND has their sights on Fickell , and Fickell is giving the same canned response as all the other coaches did. Heck of a thing to do to a coach, the Bearcats won't be in a position like this in 50 years. He's heading into a championship game, he wins he's in , loses and he's ND's next HC. Got to love Kelly's timing.

Poindexter makes the most sense with, hopefully, a convincing interview with Elijah Robinson to also come on board. Perhaps Robinson brings the #1 DL recruit with him?

Vanderlinden as a defensive consultant/advisor. He’s living near State College and is eager to contribute.
You know this... how? Is there an article indicating as such that you can link?

I would hire Robinson as DC and Vanderlinden as a defensive consultant/advisor. He’s living near State College and is eager to contribute.
Ron lives in State College near Park Forest. He is very happy in retirement and not looking to get back on the football field. Not sure where your claims are coming from

Timing is being driven by UF, LSU and USC. They are top of the food chain right now and take what they want. These moves have been building for a couple of months and they won’t pay huge $ to a coach who isn’t in place on early signing day.
