Asher is a freaking Beast for real. Especially as a Soph or Jr. I forget which yearAsher Cunningham wins the title at 160 beating the 1 seed from NJ.
I just cannot see Mason Gibson being a future starter at Penn State
Agree.Need Bassett and Jax Forrest though for sure.I just cannot see Mason Gibson being a future starter at Penn State
Don't need anymore lightweights, will be more than fine with what is coming in. Only so much room in the inn. Survived without Spencer, Sasso and Snyder. Coaching staff gets who they want.Agree.Need Bassett and Jax Forrest though for sure.
Jax is already 130 in 10th grade and Bassett is 140 with still time to grow. Im not thinking 125 or maybe even 133. I’m going to guess 141 and 149 but who knows for sure. Don’t know how many times you’ve seen them. They are 2 of the best right in our backyard. I’m sure Cael would love to land them. Will see how things play out.Don't need anymore lightweights, will be more than fine with what is coming in. Only so much room in the inn. Survived without Spencer, Sasso and Snyder. Cael seems to know what he's doing......they can't all be Brooks and Taylor. The competition in the room is important. The Lee brothers and Barraclough are very important. It wasn’t that long ago that he was a must get recruit. My guess is that he peaked at an early age and up to a middle weight he no longer has whatever advantage he seemed to have before. I still really like him as a recruit but he doesn’t seem to be the blue chip recruit we thought he would be.
Nevertheless I know that he will improve once he gets in our room. Everyone does.
EDIT - according to Tom he just came back from a long layoff due to injury. I’m going to cut him a lot of slack here.
He’s a Jr.Asher is a freaking Beast for real. Especially as a Soph or Jr. I forget which year
Well said.A reminder that there are NO "needs" or "must gets" -- only "wants."
Here is a partial list of guys Cael recruited but went elsewhere: Nick Gwiazdowski, Kyle Snyder, Chance Marsteller, Stevan Micic, Chandler Rogers, Joey McKenna, Ethan Lizak, Tommy Thorn, the Valencias, Myles Martin, Luke Pletcher, Chad Red, Spencer Lee, Daton Fix, Max Murin, Travis Wittlake, Jacori Teemer, Carson Kharchla, Lucas Byrd, Edmond Ruth, Richie Figueroa, Nic Bouzakis, Ryan Crookham, Jesse Mendez ...
Somehow we have scraped by anyway.
Asher wrestled really well. Won the finals match because of his scrambling ability and work on top. Looking forward to seeing Asher develop more offense on his feet and to defend the leg attach.Asher is a freaking Beast for real. Especially as a Soph or Jr. I forget which year
