I am not familiar with the proposal/plans for a future practice facility. Some question i have about it are:
Where will it be? What will be in it (how many courts, weight room, players lounge, coaches offices)? How much will it cost? Where do we stand on allocated funds?
The way I see it the next item purchased by the Athletic department should be a FB jumbotron. Obviously, I am bored out of my mind right now.

Also, is the Mcarthy gymnasium in good enough shape for renovation or is it destined to be trashed? I asked because it may could serve as the practice facility.

thats sort of the one thing I can understand as a complaint. Hans seems to be driven...if he wanted to practice or work out, where does he go? The Hump, doubt he can just get in at just any time? The Tin barn, where he has to wade thru the other students, or God forbid wait? They need a facility.

A logical place would be where the ag and bio engineering building is presently since they just built a new building for them beside the tin gym... I've also heard something about right beside the hump... I'm guessing in front of the palmerio center?

Tin gym wouldn't be good idea since it is on the other side of campus...

McCarthy Gym is used as an indoor facility for tennis. It is also the home of the physical education department. A lot of classes take place in the gym portion of McCarthy.

If they do build a new practice i would image it would have two gyms for both men's and women's basketball and a set of offices for both teams. I don't think they would have new locker rooms since men's was renovated recently. Also since shira/holliman has two weight rooms, there is no need for another.

You are right. The old tin gym got torn down didn't it? Would have made a decent practice facility with a little work.

was torn down in favor of the new ag building. McCarthy is in a premium spot on campus. Look for that to be torn down in favor of a building named after some guy that is even richer than the guy I play on a message board.

The practice facility will be in the intercollegiate athletic area of campus. Really, we don't even need a practice facility if we could find a better place for concerts, circuses, and Dave Ramsey conferences that the hump. How about telling the volleyball team they have to practice around the shitting elephant instead of the BB team?
