Hmmm. five "sponsors," ten senior managers, and the project is yet to focus on the largest areas of the University.

Well, the good news is that DEI isn't mentioned once. Under Barren DEI would have been the entire focus.

Does anyone know which consulting firm came up with this Junior Year project?

This is about all you need to know from the announcement.

“A key focus of this effort is supporting our staff members and finding ways we can continue to provide meaningful career and growth opportunities for our employees,” Thorndike said.

Cost savings usually involves, to some degree, eliminating opportunities for employee growth. It's also humorous to put the people in charge of each area to fix the mess that they created. Oh, they still haven't figured out how to fix the first focus team listed, Development and Alumni Relations. There's no hope if they don't already know the answer.

We have perhaps, possibly, initially, begun to pre examine certain potential areas for future discussions. Initial inputs are being carefully and meticulously reviewed. Subsequent meetings will finitely project core areas of concern that will require further preliminary evaluation and monitoring. Unfortunately budgetary constraints will necessitate an increase in staffing to enhance costs and further the implementation of the preliminary evaluation and potential decision making process.

There is plenty of mention of DEIB on psu.edu and on PSU’s LinkedIn page. It’s a thing.

Thanks Tom. This is a game changer. Can we use these synergies to leverage customer partnerships going further?

Reading that was painful. It makes me glad I never entered the corporate world.

I'll run that plan up the flagpole and see who salutes it.
