Given it’s a road game I suppose that’s about right but I think we blow them out this weekend. After the OSU loss and the alleged loss in the overtime game there two years ago, I smell some pay back coming this weekend. Whether it’s Clifford or Allar, I think this team makes a statement against a bad Hoosier team on Saturday, although they have been known to give us fits on occasion. Not this time however. I think we roll.

Indy has given us fits in the past even in victory. I don't think that'll happen this year. The ability to win with the running game opens up the offense which will be too much for them. They just don't have enough Jimmy and Joes to stop a team of our caliber that can run or pass. Once they're in the hole they'll become 1 dimensional on offense and that'll play right into our hands.

Statement? What statement can you make beating a team that lost to RU?

Starting with 94… when their damn garbage time points made it look like it was actually a close game and we could never rise above #2 in the polls after that.

I remember my (now ex-) wife thinking I was crazy to be pissed off when PSU had just beaten Indiana. I knew exactly what was going to happen. Still steamed about it to this day! 🤬🤬🤬

Well the real problem was that PSU dropped from #1 to #2 the week that they beat OSU 63-14 (and the game wasn't that close) and Nebraska beat (can't remember if it was Oklahoma or Texas). It was clear that the voters were going to move the winner of the latter game especially if it was Nebraska to #1 regardless of what Penn State did. Given those circumstances, it wouldn't have mattered if Penn State beat Indiana by 50.

What time does the game start and what network is carrying it? Thanks.

#3 Nebraska beat #2 Colorado 24-7 and moved to #1 in the AP poll. PSU was still ranked #1 in the coaches' poll. After the Indiana game the following week, PSU moved down to #2 in the coaches' poll. Hard to say if both polls would have stayed the same the rest of the season, but if not for that fluke PSU and Nebraska might have been co-national champions.

Speaking of flukes, the only reason Colorado was ranked #2 in the AP poll was because earlier in the season they beat Michigan at Michigan on a 64-yard Hail Mary pass from Kordell Steward to Michael Westbrook on the last play of the game. If Michigan hadn't messed up so badly then the Nebraska-Colorado game would not have been nearly as significant and Nebraska would have most likely stayed behind PSU in both polls.

Penn State/Michigan would have been 2 undefeated teams instead of Nebraska/Colorado.

Michigan lost one, maybe 2 more. Colorado won out I believe.

Wasn't that the 5th down game as well? Lots of weird quirks that year that worked against us.

5th down game was Colorado at Missouri in 1990, which helped launch Colorado to their co-MNC.

The small things that would keep me from betting PSU - the fact that nearly every game in Bloomington is a rock fight and this is the type of stupid game that a JF-led team honks. There is ZERO reason why either should happen cuz IU is very rough.

Something to hope for. I would be able to swim in the fanboy tears for an entire week! It's a slow time of the year for me, so I need some entertainment. Polishing up my 9 more years cheer!

Not true.

Hello, I’m Bob, and I’m an excellent football coach.
I'll be the judge of that. Send your resume and please include how many games you've watched on TV and how many beers you can pound down from kickoff to final whistle.

I'm really curious to see what kind of product Franklin puts on the field in Bloomington.

Indiana is coming off a bye week so I expect numerous trick plays out of that devious buck-toothed Tom Allen, especially when their 2nd string QB enters the ball game. IU lost a key WR to injury and it's good that Penix transferred because his passing skills repeatedly exposed PSU's vulnerability in the middle of the field.

14 points seems like too many to me...8-9 seems more appropriate, but who knows. 🤷‍♂️

I do think that PSU will be the benefactor of some decent officiating this week (and hopefully down the stretch) because the B1G needs PSU to participate in a semi-major bowl to help fund the conference coffers and prestige. Right now the B1G has OSU, Michigan and likely Illinois bringing home the post-season bacon.

It's going to be wet and windy (but warm). The weather may not lend itself to us throwing the ball all over the place, but perfect conditions for us to run all over them. Since they don't have much of a passing game even in good conditions, we'll be able to shut down their running game without too much of a problem. We easily cover the 14, wouldn't be surprised if we win by 21+.

QB is up in the air.

Best defender may or may not play (LB).

Primary WR is out with an ACL.

Thinking we see what they did to Michigan and what Michigan did to us type of fronts.

This should be an ease up after defending Buckeye WRs last week. Don't think they can go 4 quarters. Expect this to flow similarly to Minnesota game.
