It's setting up to be our best shot at a title in a long time. I think the team feels the same considering the fact that many who could have left for the NFL have elected to return.

I hope these guys realize the opportunity that lies ahead in 23. A strong off season will be very important.

Thoughts?

Ohio State and Michigan will be favored to win the conference. We have not shown the ability to consistently beat either. We get OSU on the road. Anything is possible but I see a 10-2 season with losses to both.

No one beats Michigan and Ohio State consistently. Perhaps if they played Georgia and Alabama each and every year.
I'd like PSU chances vs Michigan in a white out next year. CJF has beaten Michigan and can again. OSU seems a bigger hill to climb....PS I'll take another 10-2 and bowl win.

The perennial ceiling is 11-2 with an irrelevant NY6 bowl victory.

Anyone know what Illinois has coming back? They are this year's opponent in what has become, undeniably, our traditional away game Conference opener.

What’s our record under Franklin against Michigan?

Let’s be fair, Franklin was playing with one hand tied behind his back his first two years. So, which conference teams have a better record than Franklin against those two teams in the past 7 years?
I took a guess that Wisconsin might do well against Michigan and they have. While they don't play every year, just 10 games since 2007, Wisconsin is 6-4 against them in that time. I have neither the time, or desire, to check anyone else against the BIG2. That said, I suppose there is some comfort in being lumped in with all the other teams that take a back seat to Michigan and OSU.

All depends on our OL and DL. Right now I’m not sure what we have there and how they will match up against OSU and Mich. who is coming back or transferring in? Allar will need protection and we will need to stop the run. Linebackers and secondary will be good and our edge rushers should be fine. Running backs will be great and receivers still need a stud or two. So there are a few maybe big holes to fill on both lines before I’m ready to say this is a chance for a championship but hopefully the portal can still produce a few studs to fill in the gaps but I haven’t seen it YET. So anywhere from 9-3 to 12-0. Most likely 11-1.
