We have a viewing to attend at 2:00 🤷. No way for me to capture the dual as I’m not a fLo subscriber. Usually tune into WRSC and ironhead but not today.
Meanwhile the Iowa vs Iowa State dual will be on BTN at the same time which I Will record. Should be a closer matchup than normal with Iowa ‘resting/injured wrestlers’ sitting.

I’d like to think Beard solves his lung issue, but at Lehigh…highly unlikely. Prediction Dean 8-4

Let’s hope the Flo stream is watchable this time. It was unwatchable Friday and none of the videos they posted are watchable either.

Does that surprise you? I gave up years ago. They always say there is not enough bandwidth in the building.
I think they use doorbell cameras.

Bearclaw took some poor shots from distance. Lost 6-3 but rode his guy out second period. Not really close to generating any offense though.

Not the performance I would’ve liked to see. More to come at 157 for now I guess.
Would like to see him competitive in top 25 matches if we’re not going to push Levi

19-9 Penn State. Dean loses 12-9 to his former teammate Beard at 197.

Now 19-12 Penn State.
Absolutely terrible. 2 stall calls against Dean.

2 horrible stall calls against Dean. However Max must improve on his feet if he want’s to be National Champion again. Looked rusty Friday and today. Hopefully it’s a wake-up call for Max.

Yes. Kerk dominated his opponent in the last match with a 18-0 technical fall.

We win the match 24-12.

Max Dean lost his second match in a row. A long video review in the first period help give Beard a second wind.

This^^. Lehigh challenged something. I assume it was locked hands, though they don’t announce it at the arena? They lost the challenge, but it did give Beard several minutes to refill the notorious low gas tank. I’m not making excuses. Beard looked good. He looked sharp, but everything fell his way, including the questionable stall calls. In the meantime, Beard ran around the mat avoiding Dean for about the last 40-45 seconds of the match. Again, Beard deserved the win, he earned it, no excuses. Dean looked slow and flat footed.

I know this has been discussed before, but I feel like maybe Cael worked the team pretty hard the last few days? They looked a little uncharacteristically sluggish. I know Lehigh is a quality opponent, but it wasn’t exactly the high energy, crisp PSU we have come to expect. March is the goal, though. Trust in Cael.

It also looked like a few Lehigh guys were told not to get pinned or give up a tech because they weren’t exactly engaging in the action very much.

Byers commented on the radio feed that he thought it was for locked hands. Excellent points in your post @LB99.

I agree they didn’t sound sharp at all as a team. Hopefully they will be better next week.

Couldn't watch but listened. We won 24-12, without RBY, who would have at least had a major. We knew Dean/Beard would be a battle. BearClaw was very respectable vs at solid top 10 guy. BB really coming on and SVN is SerVingNotice. AF just stays solid and Austin Gang should be the Awesome Gang.

Not worried about Dean at all. BB way way better at his natural weight. SVN is terrific. AF continues to grow and get confidence. This group is filling in nicely. BearClaw is going to get every opportunity at 157.

Anyone know what is wrong with Van Ness’s right hand? After the pin shook hands with his left and slapped teammates with his left hand holding back his right hand.

You have got to be kidding? Oh well, RBY and C-star wrestled with 1 hand.
