I guess we’ll just cross our fingers, eyes or toes and hope that there’s not a shocker or two in the departures.
I actually don't think there will be. I also believe PSU was close to the school limit, and with Dominic DeLuca getting one, that made things a little tighter.

Kid did get a trip to the Rose Bowl, and he did get some run at the end of the game.

One thing for sure, the "portal" has led to college football programs/coaches ramping up the processing. Obviously, it isn't just Franklin/PSU - but the level of processing going on in CFB now makes the early-2000s version of Nick Saban look like a miser. Not that it wasn't completely predictable.
Any kid who presents as a possible "I can get a better prospect through the portal" kid is now on the chopping block. When the only replacement options were a kid fresh out of high school - that kid with a couple years in the program, even if he wasn't at the top of the depth chart, looked a lot more appealing. Now coaches can go grab a kid with starting experience at a P5 program to swap in.

It's getting to a point where, unless you're getting Nick Saban, it's better to have a coach that can work the portal and NIL than work the X's and O's.

When I was in elementary school (second grade) I had a female classmate whose first name was Mulva. We called her Mulva the Vulva. Funny thing was we were too young and stupid to understand the connection.

Relax, everyone then had nicknames. Stinky Stu, Fast Freddy, Steve the stick (10 years later he became obese), even Tricky Dick. That one actually became a non de plume for a President of the USA.

When I saw that Seinfeld episode I laughed like crazy remembering her. True story, her parents were immigrants from the South of France near the Mediterranean I believe, and her actual first name was Mulvatte. I have no idea if that was common in France, or if it was a family name. As soon as she became Legally of age she changed her first name to Sandra.

You’re not making me feel any better. My sisters, just in passing, only last week mentioned that as children they had a tradition of naming the family cars. Anastasia, Vanessa, Juliet. I had no clue about this. I had an intensely awkward boyhood and am very aware that I was oblivious to half of what went on.

Oh well, things happen. I named cars also. My father’s was “never” my mother’s “elusive”because I wasn’t getting near either. Mine was named “Rusty” because that’s what kept it together.

My neighborhood friends growing up were Butt, carp head, terd, Fuh Fu, mailman, norm (not his real name), China man, scoop, shuba. I was professor. Surprisingly, none of us have done time. :)

Yeah but more often than not it works out for both sides. Mulbah can go somewhere else and get more playing time, he was probably encouraged to move on
