Seeing the post by @CVLion about the PSU men's rugby team (club) reminded me that I used to follow the women's club soccer team, as they've been so successful over the years.
It turns out that after years of making it to the national championship tournament, and even making it to the finals one time and the semis several times, they finally attained a national championship in 2021. The national championship tournament took place Nov. 18-20 in Foley, Alabama. The tournament started out with pool play on Thursday, and PSU went 1-1, which advanced them to the championships. PSU defeated UC-Davis 2-1 in R1, and defeated Colorado 2-0 in the quarterfinals on Friday. On Saturday they defeated Cal-Poly 2-1 in the semis, and defeated UNC-Chapel Hill 1-0 in the final. Congratulations to the ladies!
