After 4 years it is easy to see substance and cast aside fluff. On signing day it is much more difficult. That said, those coaches who are engineers on fully loaded hype trains often drive them to Natty Town.
By the way, Curtis was a 4 or 5 star recruit coming out of high school. He rode the hype train.

I think Curtis will stick in the pros. Might start as a Special Teams player and after 1st year begin to get defensive PT. I thought he was an excellent LBer but I guess he didn't have some of the measurables and times required to be drafted.

I think that with his work ethic Curtis Jacob will find a way to make it in NFL. Perseverance sure helps and he has that for sure.

Well then why don't we just make sure we're only signing 4 and 5 star players like Curtis? That strategy worked for me in video games, so I don't get why our coach won't try it. It should led to more undefeated seasons.

I guess someone like Lavar - who would be tough enough to maybe play either line and still able to carry/catch the football.

It certainly works for Ohio State. Of their 2025 class 18 of the 23 commits are 4 and 5 stars. They will "coach up" the other 5.

Lindy's ranked the BiG linebackers for 2024. King was #10 and Deluca was #17. I'm guessing they didn't tank Rojas because of his lack of PT.
