Been scouring Google but struggling to find clear and definitive answers: Does anyone know if the COVID bonus year means 6 years to play 5, or 6 to play 4?

If 6 to play 5, do Ta'Lon Cooper, Myles Stute, Josh Gray, Stephen Clark, and BJ Mack have another year of eligibility? Roster pages don't seem to indicate if a senior has a COVID year still available or not.

Any combination of them back next year I think would be positive for the 2024-25 team's capabilities.

I think we will still have some good players back with Meechie, CMB, Jacoby Wright and some others but from what I last looked at, we will have 7 players to replace and we only have two coming right now from high school. That means another year of hitting portal hard and for right fit and experience. Also need some size to replace Gray and Mack.

Coach CLP is going to have to follow up this masterpiece of a coaching job this year with one just as good or better if we're to avoid a big step back next season. The job he's done this year is reason for hope though, for sure.

I think Gray has one more year.

6 to play 4.

I don't think this is accurate. I'm pretty sure it's 6 to play 5 (as long as one of those was the covid year). It came up a lot when Antoine Davis was trying to beat Maravich's all-time scoring record. He almost did it, but some were saying there should have been an asterisk if he did because he played more than 4 years.

That what I thought....simply that 2020 doesn't count for elibility or participation.

Ah, yeah, meant 5. We talked about this ad nauseum when discussing David Anderson.

If it's 6 to play 5, are we still losing 7?

All I see is an open-ended straight draw.
