NC State freshman QB MJ Morris is in the portal. He was named the starter mid season, started four games and then declared he was not playing anymore in order to preserve his redshirt. Then he goes in the portal. I’m sure NC State fans just love this guy.

NC State freshman QB MJ Morris is in the portal. He was named the starter mid season, started four games and then declared he was not playing anymore in order to preserve his redshirt. Then he goes in the portal. I’m sure NC State fans just love this guy.

I saw him live a couple of times. Live arm but needs to work on accuracy and touch (he's just a freshman, so he's got time). Good runner. I don't have any internal contacts, but it seems there's some debate about whether Morris or Doeren made the decision to preserve his redshirt once NC State got bowl eligible. Either way, kind of strange that Morris went into the portal given he was the named starter for next season.
