Thinking about our new coach and I can see how he seems to have the qualities of a great football coach. What are some qualities for a coach to be successful?

1) Organized, especially at a P5 school which is a multi-million dollar organization.
2) Smart, gotta be able to understand offensive and defensive systems
3) Great communicator
4) strike a balance with a relationship to players so one is not too aloof or not disciplined enough (see Moorhead)
5) personable, able to make a good first impression which is needed for recruiting
6) Great work ethic, it's a job that takes long hour
7) able to delegate responsibilities
8) Can handle the stress that comes along with a job like this

What else?

On a side note, I would like to put my name in for the AD position**

9) Curses out refs when we think he should.
10) Looks excited on the sideline. Very important, can't imagine how you overlooked this one.
11) At least 18" vertical when doing chest bumps after big play.
12) Makes sure the D is well equipped = brings the biggest turnover chain in CFB history
13) Plays the QB I think is best
14) Contributes at least half his salary to NIL efforts
15) Passes it just enough but not too much
16) Runs it just enough but not too much
17) Occasionally folds position group chairs up mid game when they are underperforming

1) Be well funded by employer
2) Be well supported by NIL
3) Elite recruiter of players and coordinators/position coaches/support staff (see #1/#2)
4) Sets winning tone and accountability in player/coach development
5) Lets coaches coach and players make plays (don't be a prisoner to "your system" - do what works best for your coaches and players)
6) Let the P defeat other coaches

At the college level, recruiting has to be at the top of the list. It almost has to be like an obsession. Recruiting now has also transformed into NIL deals and the transfer portal as well as recruiting your current team not to leave.
Coaches who do not adjust quickly to the new system are about to get buried.

Reinforces self confidence to his players they can do better on the field and find hotter and slimmer girlfriends off the field.
Believes in Aliens but not Bigfoot.
Emphasizes this week over last.
Instructs proper football handwork letting players know if they don't, their children will be born without any.
Lets players know the only jersey they should be focused on is their own and not the opponents.
