DJ Ukulele. Cant even imagine the blowback if he came here. It would be epic.
K J Jefferson But he appears to be more of a runner than a passer, would he be worth the pickup ? I don't the answer to that.

There are abundant options that would fill our need for QB depth.

Maalik Murphy?
But Beamer mentioned in his presser that many QB's have contacted him, but some wanted guarantees he was not willing to give.
Below is a recent list I came across

I know relying on a red shirt freshman might be risky, but I think Sellers is going to be great. Granted we need a competent back-up. If you put Doty behind a decent OL he can probably get the job done if LaNorris gets injured. Also, we will have true freshman Reno in the mix.

I don’t understand the angst over starting a redshirt freshman. It’s really not that big of a deal.

Did you see our offensive line in 2023? It may be a good thing to have 2 capable and ready QB's. :)

Holly Cross's Matthew Sluka, is interesting to me, if we choose to still get a portal QB, with Sellers seems like we need one that can run and pass to fit in with the things that will be modified to meet Sellers talents. I like his tape. If you watch his tape he loves the QB draw up the middle, where we like to run LOL

Maybe he committed somewhere? I did not see where,

He can run, and does not throw a lot of pics, seems like a guy Beamer and Co could get interested in more seriously at this point if still available and may be a player that does not need the starter guarantee given his confidence in his abilities.

A 3 year starter, has thrown for 5,896 yards. 59 TD's and 15 Ints, and ran for 3,578 yards and 38 touchdowns again at that level.

Pass completion % improved in 2023 to 62%

So the productivity is there, and size is there, 6-3, 216 lbs., experience, and can run and throw.

It sounds like he might be able to beat Sellers out for the starting job. Sellers resume includes high school and 4 passes thrown against Furman.

That’s true regardless.

Jokes aside, I played eight years of football (I know others did as well, just sayin’), and in my opinion Spencer Rattler is one of the toughest men I have ever seen, and probably THE toughest quarterback.

We certainly need some depth, no question there.

Problem is, most QBs in the portal are not looking to transfer and play backup. I know any transfer would be given a shot to compete for the starting job and blah blah and all that, but reality is we have a likely starter and everyone knows that.
